What a good day's racing it was for our Boxing Day meeting on Thursday, December 26.

A good crowd was on hand for the racing, fashions, and entertainment.

The honours were shared on the day, but a special winner was local trainer Jo Methven, who won with Better Tomorrow in the 1600m Class 2 Handicap.

Ridden by another local product, Yvette Lewis, the 7YO started a well-supported $1.40 favourite and won by three-and-a-half lengths.

Another local winner was Todd Payne, who won with Takemine in the 1200m Class One Handicap.

Apprentice jockey Cobi Vitler was the winning jockey as the Inverell galloper won by threequarters-of-a-length.
